Rishma Dunlop is a poet, dramatist, fiction writer, and essayist. She is the author of three books of poetry, Metropolis, The Body of my Garden, and Reading Like a Girl. She was a finalist for the CBC Canada Council Award for Poetry in 1998 and winner of The Emily Dickinson Award in 2003. She is a professor of Literary Studies and Arts Education at York University, Toronto.
